The Art Institutes have created a website to provide up-to-date information on Otto and Josie's progress during the "Top Chef" season, aitopchef.com.
Chef Otto Borsich is a culinary instructor at The Culinary Institute of Las Vegas. Otto is self-taught in his culinary expertise, learning many tricks of the trade from his mother and grandmother. Working his way up the culinary ladder, he now shares his skills on a daily basis with students at the Las Vegas school.
Josie Smith-Malave, a graduate of The Art Institute of New York City's Culinary Arts program, was born and raised in Miami, FL, and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is a sous chef for Marlow and Sons. Josie has been cooking all her life. Her culinary talents, along with her competitive nature, are her inspiration for this event.
Otto and Josie will compete among fifteen candidates for the title of "Top Chef." Having both an instructor and alum represented on "Top Chef" demonstrates the caliber of both the faculty and culinary education that are available at The Art Institutes," says Chef Michael Nenes, assistant vice president of culinary arts for The Art Institutes.
